Courses, training & experience:
I have pursued studies in hands-on techniques such as massage, Touch for Health, Reiki, One Brain and Body Talk.
Having a deep desire to gain better understanding about what the underlying causes of pain, imbalance and being stuck in old patterns. There have been many interesting and sometimes unexpected results as this path unwinds before us. Perhaps this is why I so enjoy images of arches, gateways, doors and paths.
I found that Applied Kinesiology or A. K. allowed me to help clients explore questions with incredible results: It is quick, uninvasive, respectful and yielded better and better results as I learned to ask 'better questions'. I will recount some interesting cases in the musings area.
Here I describe some of the basic techniques with outlines of the different modalities:
Practitioners will develop an area of expertise either due to their own continued study and interests or it may be because of the issues their clients present. I have long been interested in prenatal development and hereditary factors. Clients delve into the area that their system guides us to and find many 'answers' to longstanding, or cellular patterns and beliefs. I will discuss specifics in individual sessions, in musings and am amazed at times where the body guides us. I follow the credo: Your Body holds all the Answers.
* An article about muscle response testing will soon be found in musings

Here I describe some of the basic techniques with outlines of the different modalities:
- Body Talk System: This has been one of the most comprehensive and practical methods I have learned. I completed levels 1, 2, 3 & 6 from the originator: Dr. John Veldheim; and in 2005 did practicum and exam to become a certified practitioner. "BodyTalk understands the profound influence the psychology of the body has on our health. Instead of focusing on the symptom, BodyTalk finds the underlying causes of illness by addressing the whole-person and their whole-story.The BodyTalk techniques provide insights to the areas of your body that need attention.
- What might seem like an obvious problem to you is not necessarily the one your body wants to address first." This is the beauty of BodyTalk. It respects the body's own needs and determines your body's priorities for healing. Several 'menus' are used to help uncover clearly what issues are and how to best remedy them.
- Touch for Health: One of the first studies I took levels 1-3 in 1993. Muscle testing* is used as a method of biofeedback to identify imbalances in the the body's energy system. Using a holistic approach, the body's intrinsic healing process is activated. This was created to allow people to learn basic techniques to use on themselves and family to improve health & wellbeing and is the basis of many later branches of A. K. The TFH process can also assist individuals to better achieve their life goals and true potential with goal-specific balancing.
- I took a variety of training in Attitudinal Kinesiology, Introductory Craniosacral, Metamorphic Technique, 5 Element Therapy, Edu-K, Reiki 1 -3 and Waveform 1 & 2 (in Scotland) to name some. These contribute and add dimension to my toolbox.
- One Brain ~ 3 in One Concepts: Is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that looks surprisingly like a traditional sit-down counselling session. One of the main differences is that there is no need to talk about the issues or stressors at length; once the emotional issue is identified methods are used to diffuse immediately. “One Brain is a new and unique approach, to locate and correct stressors that may be causing dyslexia, fears or anything that is limiting you from creating what you want for yourself.” Lauren Bergland
I completed 6 levels, frequently use the Emotional Barometer and other corrections learned, as needed.
